A San Antonio native, Jason is a fourth-generation Texan with a strong hill country heritage. When his parents relocated to Houston, he could hardly wait for the frequent return to his grandparent's ranch in Barbarossa, Texas, a small town outside New Braunfels. It is here in the country Jason still feels the most at home.

Growing up in the middle of the emerging Texas rap scene, Jason held fast to the country music he loved. The Houston suburbs were a poor fit for the only boy wearing a cowboy hat at senior prom.

If there is anything this young man possesses, it is a certainty of self. Jason knows exactly who he is and who he wants to be. He looks to his influences (Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings, Elvis Presley, Chris Knight) and his life for inspiration when creating his smooth Texville sound.

A friendly young man, Jason has big-city savvy and country charm. This blend, like his music, is one people quickly respond to. Jason sold out of T-shirts the first week the new merchandise became available. This was no surprise. Jason's debut EP, She Drove, garnered appearances on Good Morning Houston, KTTX-FM, Radio Free Texas and the cover of the Fort Bend Sun. Three of the five songs received radio spins worldwide.

Jason, a 2006 Texas Music Awards Rising Star nominee, spent the year touring with other acts - most notably Jackson Taylor - to gain depth and maturity. A year later, 24-year-old Jason is returning to the road with his own sound.

What started as a family band (by request for his grandparent's 50th wedding anniversary) is becoming a force on the Texas Country music scene. Jason Marbach has appeared with artists such as Charlie Robison, Bleu Edmondson, Jason Boland - and debuted his new band roster at Austin's Midnight Rodeo. The family band rehearsed on the ranch in Barbarossa. Jason kept the band's name to honor his roots.

At 6'8" Jason commands attention. As he has begun to play tidbits of his in-progress sophomore album, Eclipse, his songwriting - and performing - shows the maturity and fusion of experiences fans have come to expect from the young talent.

In songs Waylon and Camels And Shifters, Jason croons about outlaw life. Brazos River shows off Jason's talent for storytelling while All I Want is a rocking testimonial about just that - a young man living on the cusp of fame.

Jason (BMI) is booking throughout Texas, the South and the Midwest. His rowdy live performances will get you singing and dancing. Jason's myspace.com page and Internet-based street team are adding friends and fans daily.

Jason is a true Texas original. While many young singer/songwriters spend an early stage in their career wandering the country, Jason has always known where he is most at home.

And that's why he's carving his name out right where he belongs. Welcome Home. Welcome to Texville.
